What We Do

We organise various projects that cover important subjects like science, math, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written, spoken, reading and understanding). These projects happen all year round and are designed to open the minds of the children and develop a love for learning and passion for being the best that they can be.

Project Head Start

Pre-school is an essential element in a child’s introduction to schooling. Project Head Start’s concerns are that:

All Tamil schools need to have a pre-school

•

Very important to promote early education among the kids

•

To enhance the students' curiosity for knowledge

•

To capitalise on the students' capacity to grasp knowledge at that tender age

•

To prepare the kids for primary school

Aims and Objectives

To start pre-schools in all the Tamil schools nationwide.

Progress

We successfully started pre-schools in 8 different schools in 2007 whereas in 2008 we reached out to 14 schools. In 2009, we supported 14 schools nationwide with a total of 471 students. We are starting 2 more preschools which are SJK (T) Riverside & SJK (T) Pair Gudang. We plan to spread out to 25 schools with 1000 students in 2010.
