What We Do
We organise various projects that cover important subjects like science, math, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written, spoken, reading and understanding). These projects happen all year round and are designed to open the minds of the children and develop a love for learning and passion for being the best that they can be.
Projects
English Enrichment Programme (EEP)
EEP totally immerses Standard 1 students in English for three hours weekly, to develop their spoken ability. The concept of this programme is all about learning to speak English in a ‘fun' way and the methodology used is not exam orientated, but fun-filled and activity based.

EEP was launched in August 2005 at SJK (T) Vivekananda PJ and SJKT Appar, KL. In 2006, we managed to get 400 students from 10 schools to take part in this project. In 2007, we have started with 9 schools, with a total of 350 students and in 2008 we had 450 students with 14 schools whereas in 2009 we reached out to 602 students with 20 schools. In 2010 we plan to spread out to 750 students for both Standard 1 & 2.

Aims and Objectives
This project aims to promote English among Tamil school students, enabling them to exude self-confidence when they communicate and increase their proficiency in English.
To totally immerse Tamil school students in English for three hours weekly.
To ensure that all participants develop a liking, if not a love, for English.
Teaching and Interaction
The classes are small with 15 students per class.
Classes are conducted for three hours with refreshments.
Emphasis will be given on developing the students’ spoken ability. A lot of language games and fun learning methods will be introduced.
Evaluation
The evaluation will be conducted through an on-going qualitative & quantitative method.
At the end of the programme, students will be evaluated using formal and informal tests to find out if the project objectives are fulfilled.
To evaluate students’ general confidence level - their willingness to participate and come forward to speak in English, will also be gauged.
