What We Do
We organise various projects that cover important subjects like science, math, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written, spoken, reading and understanding). These projects happen all year round and are designed to open the minds of the children and develop a love for learning and passion for being the best that they can be.
Projects
Science Fair for Young Children (SFYC)
It is believed that students will learn science and its methods better if science is more hands-on or an experimental experience, where students are led on a path of discovering scientific truths. Young students will learn science as they seek to satisfy their curiosity.

Aims and Objectives
This project aims to develop the concept, supporting structure and implementation tools to organise science fairs primarily in Tamil Schools nationwide and thereby creating a greater awareness about science and scientific methods. It is hoped that we would be able to expand this programme to all Malaysian schools in future.
Methodology
The internet has a cornucopia of resources on science projects. However, very little of this is available in the languages Malaysian students are probably more comfortable with, i.e. Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil.

In 2008, a total of 197 teams participated nationwide which was held at National Science Centre KL. In 2009, we organised both State level & National level Science Fair where the number of teams has increased to 207.

In 2010, Tamil Foundation is organising state level Science Fair in 5 states namely Selangor, WP, Perak, Penang & Pahang. We target to reach out to more schools this year.

Evaluation
The evaluation will be conducted through an on-going, qualitative & quantitative method.
Evaluate all materials used by the students, teachers, facilitators & judges.
Evaluate the students’ understanding on hypotheses, controls & variables.
Evaluate the students’ in public speaking skills as they present projects to schoolmates, judges and the public.
